Familiars

In onmyoudo, shikigami is the term for 'familiar'. Sometimes shikigami may be a spirit bound to a collection of talismans, for example.

Digital magic

This may come as a surprise to the less spiritually inclined and less knowledgeable, but even spirituality and traditional magic had to adapt to the digital age. This sort of thing has been the inspiration for many media projects, a popular example being Megami Tensei. (Then further unraveling into Shin Megami Tensei.)

Spells performed at shrines

Enkiri is a spell to sever ties, say you feel that someone is unpleasant or you even despise them, you would go to a shrine and have this ritual performed and that bond will be cut. I want to try this, myself ehehe
